ISSMA Solo/Ensemble is re-scheduled for Saturday, February 12th. This has been posted on Google Classroom and an email has been sent out to parents with students registered to do solo/ensemble. Here is the email that was sent today from ISSMA headquarters and the hosting site.
” Having great concerns about unsafe travel, the inability of students and directors to get into school buildings to get instruments, the judges not being able to get to assigned sites; ISSMA has made the decision to re-schedule this Saturday’s District Solo and Ensemble Festivals. All host schools across the state will be asked to move their event to the pre-determined weather date of Saturday, February 12, 2022. While this decision is certain to create numerous scheduling conflicts, we would appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
I am sure this complicates things in many ways with your own schedules, as I am realizing this affects many things in the Fairfield Choral Program alone. More communication will be out shortly about further adjustments as we look to host Solo & Ensemble next week, but please know IT IS NOT HAPPENING TOMORROW!
