Northern Lights rehearsal this weekend with Jason Johnson

Northern Lights Parents – please sign up for a spot for bringing food for our kids.  If we don’t get enough parents to sign up for food for these rehearsals, the kids will start having to bring a sack lunch for themselves for future rehearsals.  I personally like it that my son gets a good hot meal instead of eating out of a brown bag.  Thank you in advance for helping out!

Updates this week from the Choral Department

MMPA meeting this Tuesday, December 12th at 7:30 PM in the choir room.  Please come to find out about upcoming events for the season for the choral department.  Many topics to discuss.

 2018 Show Choir Competition Schedule

These are the competitions for show choir for the year 2018.  Please note, to sign up to chaperone, you must have all your volunteer forms completed and on file with the Choral Department.  Please check only one box per competition selection or your response will not be counted.  Parents, for the overnight trip to North Central, a $25.00 fee PER STUDENT must be paid in advance.  Any checks need to be payable to MMPA.  In the comment section of the check, please put the student’s name.

**On a side note, this is my first time using Survey Monkey so hopefully it will work right! If not we’ll try another format for collecting responses for chaperoning.**

Feb. 10 – DeKalb – NL/SL/NLO/LW

Feb. 24 – Franklin Central- NL/SL/NLO/LW

March 2-3 – North Central – NL/SL/LL/NLO/LW (Overnighter)

March 10 – Brownsburg – NL/SL/LL/NLO/LW

Updates from the Choral Department

Senior Banner Pictures!

Every senior needs to plan to have his/her picture taken TONIGHT by Mr. Yahne for senior banners.  Here is the information:

  • Pictures are from 5:00-6:00 pm in the BAND HALLWAY (call time is 6:00 for the concert) and after the sound check.
  • You need to be dressed with full hair, makeup, etc before you get your picture taken.
  • Show choir students need to have pictures taken in their opener costumes.
  • Students in Chamber Lights, Radiance, Varsity Lights and Lyric Lights need to wear concert attire.

Ordering information will be available in class and on the website next week.   All orders will be due Friday, December 22nd.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

Please make arrangements before you leave tonight (from the concert) to get your candle orders picked up.  All orders are in the dance studio.  If they do not get picked up by tonight, they will be in the front office next week.

Chaperones

A link will be posted in the next couple of weeks for a sign up for chaperones for the competition season.  It will work the same way as last year where you will pick out 3 and list them in order.  More information will be coming on this later.
