Thanks so very much for such a great week with students and parents alike!
I know I echo Mrs. Manglos when I say the improvement from the first day of camp to the performance was wonderful! We appreciate the hard work and dedication! It was an awesome way to start the year! This is only the beginning of something we think will become very special.
Students: Thank you also for your work today in the rain, and wet, with no mics, and in a situation that could have been negative. Thanks for a great rendition of the national anthem and for staying positive! Many I spoke with who sat in the stands could hear your full sound!
Now onto to the next challenge!
Our costumes this year will be custom designed and created specifically for both Northern Lights and Starlights by Gail McGinnis Productions in Mississippi! This is the first time we’ve worked with her company, but she outfits many of the top choirs in the nation! We are so excited to work with her!
That being said, we need to measure all show choir students this week for costumes. I know it is very busy with fair week, but this is an urgent matter. We will need students at school at the following times (Enter Door #16):
ALL SHOW CHOIR GIRLS FITTINGS: MONDAY, JULY 23rd STARTING AT 5pm.
ALL SHOW CHOIR GUYS FITTINGS: TUESDAY, JULY 24th STARTING AT 5pm.

Students and adults, please sign up for a slot at the Festival!
Just a friendly reminder, the ice breaker is this Sunday. Bring your lawn chairs.
We will not be accepting cash or credit cards this year. Please bring a check for $40.00 made out to NHS for the transportation fee, and a separate check for $50.00 for the commitment fee for the year. You must bring two separate checks.
Remember, these fees MUST be paid prior to the beginning of camp which is on Monday.
If you are a senior, please refrigerate your water prior to arriving so it’s already cold.
Juniors, you are bringing a dessert.
Sophomores and freshmen, you are bringing side dishes.

This coming week is very exciting for everyone! Both Mrs. Manglos and I have been talking over the phone, texting, and E-mailing from two different time zones preparing for this week and next year. I am thrilled to return, but equally thrilled to share duties with her as we issue a new version and era of the Northridge Choral Department!
Below is an outline of all of the events, times, and activities for next week. I will thank you all in advance for your patience on getting specific times and locations to you. A full calendar for the year is nearing completion, and should be online soon!
Students: Remember what you need to bring to the Ice Breaker on Sunday!
Students: For practices, bring a refillable bottle of water and bagged lunch or dinner!
Parents: Both Mrs. Manglos and I look forward to meeting you Sunday!
